Self-Organizing System
Why do the poll results show such a close presidential race? Well, one answer is that it is a self-organizing system.
Each of the two political parties have an equally fine-tuned feedback system. They perform in-depth and continuous analysis of how the messages are received in target groups, and refine and modify their messages accordingly.
As both parties do this, they tend to split the votes about equally between themselves. It does not take much to predict that we will become increasingly familiar with this pattern in the future, as the feedback process is further refined.
