The war in Iraq has costed each US taxpayer $2250 so far
The 2004 $477 billion deficit, split on each each US taxpayer, comes to $4900
The $7.426 trillion national debt, distributed on each US taxpayer, comes to $74,000 (true, the Bush administration is not responsible for the whole national debt, but they do not improve the situation).
Btw: The cost of the Iraq war will come to about $220 billion this winter. There is still some room left to reach the $500 billion independently estimated before the war (see "True Values" entry for September 22, 2003 further below). But it is also a bit higher than the $50 billion the Bush administration estimated - if that is the righ term - prior to the war...
