Tragic

Most of the civilized world does not support the policies now shared by the US and Israel. These are tragic policies that breaks with laws and guidelines at the core of humane and civilized nations. Policies that leads to illegal international acts of violence (Israel's 40 year occupation of Palestinian land, US "pre-emtive strike" and illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq), and assasination of opponents (Israel in Palestine, US in Iraq).

Policies fueled, in Israels case, by fear... A fear that leads to illegal (40 year occupation of Palestinian land), inhumane and irrational choices (assasination of opponents) which in turn only fuels the very actions they try to prevent (violence towards Israeli citizens). It is a profoundly tragic situation, but one the Israeli people themselves have created by choices such as electing Sharon (a war criminal) as president.

And policies fueled, in the US case, by profound systems problems. A system where we see an alignment of the interests of multinational corporations (who's goal is short term profit for shareholders), the media (owned by the same corporations) and politicians (dependent on the support of the same corporations for financing their campaigns).
