Discontinued

These rants are mostly concerning the abysmal state of US culture and policies, and I have discontinued them for the time being. The main reason is that reality speaks very loudly for itself these days - no additional comments seem necessary.

The other is that with the current administration, and current domestic and foreign US policies, there are too many absurdities to keep up with. It is sometimes impossible to know where to start - which I believe is part of a conscious strategy by the conservatives and neo-liberals. The recipe seems to be to throw out an enormous amount of bizarre statements and policies, repeat them without stop, deny any criticism, and create a bewildering and impenetrable whirlwind that others cannot keep up with.

It will of course collapse eventually, possibly along with the economic/military/cultural power and influence of the US, but in the meantime - the wealthy benefit and the rest suffer, including ecosystems and future generations.
